FotoFilmic Article Review

Julia Nazarova

While viewing this website it was organized in multiple fields. The first subject covered images made through photography. The background of the website is white which allows you to focus on the images. All the images are uniform in size keeping the website visually appealing. FotoFilmic is simplistic clean and highly organized.

Julia Nazarova has a short bio about herself explaining that she is not a professional photographer and does her craft for self expression. Her images are unique and makes viewers wonder what is the full story behind this image. The image above shows a young girl with a scared expression on her face. Is this the artist reliving an emotion through the child? Also the shadow almost makes the figure disappear and makes viewers wonder about background information. While viewing her personally website there were several images that  would make a viewer work for more information.

Light Leaked Article Review

Michael Ernest Sweet  "Me and Two of Them"

The over all feel of the website was nicely organized. The images that were posted have a well rounded theme in all of the blogs. The image above was interested in the fact that the photographer captured images of non tradition models. He reminds me a Joan Semmel she paints images of herself nude and she is an older lady. She intentionally wanted to capture the grace of the aging process. Another element that capture my attention in his picture is the way he included himself in the image. His presence is there without his actual image showing. I appreciate the various values all the shadows create a visual pleasing element.
